Students enrolled in the program can expect to graduate with the new degree as early as May 2028. The curriculum builds upon existing concentrations and minors offered since 2015, integrating professional networking opportunities and direct industry training. According to Morris A. Davis, director of the Center for Real Estate, the major serves as a signal to global firms that graduates possess the technical expertise required for high-level acquisition and development roles.
Dean Lei Lei emphasized that the program aligns with New Jersey’s economic landscape, which is defined by dense corporate headquarters, logistics hubs, and transit-oriented residential projects. This new talent pipeline is supported by an active advisory board and a scholarship initiative that has distributed over $2.3 million to 373 students to date. Beyond the undergraduate level, the school continues to provide specialized training through its MBA concentrations, reinforcing its role as a primary educator for the state's real estate sector.
