Sage Technologies Debuts Digital Night Vision to Replace Analog Systems

At the 2026 AUSA conference, Sage Technologies unveiled its DPVS digital night vision goggles, moving beyond traditional analog limitations. By integrating real-time data sharing and artificial intelligence, the hardware provides combatants with a connected, high-resolution view of the battlefield designed to meet modern Department of War requirements.

Sage Technologies Debuts Digital Night Vision to Replace Analog Systems

The DPVS platform leverages the military's Modular Open Systems Approach, utilizing commercially available components to streamline maintenance and upgrades. CEO Steve Cantrell noted the system fuses advanced digital sensors with real-time processing to ensure operational awareness, a departure from legacy analog goggles that often struggle in rapidly shifting light conditions.

The hardware distinguishes itself through ultra-low latency processing, which eliminates the display lag typically associated with earlier digital vision attempts. Beyond raw optics, the goggles integrate directly with tactical networks like ATAK, overlaying situational data directly into the operator's field of view. By incorporating onboard AI, the system supports real-time image enhancement, allowing users to maintain visibility in degraded environments where traditional sensors fail. These units are built to fit standard military helmets, aiming to bridge the gap between heavy, static equipment and the high-tempo demands of the modern connected battlefield.
