The new framework centers on five core priorities: strengthening corporate transparency, climate and nature protection, community empowerment, supply chain traceability, and overall ESG performance. By aligning its internal policies with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, alongside standards from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil and the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber, the group intends to standardize its regional operations.
Implementation will unfold in three distinct phases. The initial period through 2027 focuses on compliance and structural integrity, followed by a deployment phase in 2028 and 2029. By 2030, the group shifts its focus toward long-term performance monitoring and iterative improvement. Céline Schmitz, Head of Sustainability at Socfin, noted that the strategy bridges the gap between high-level commitments and measurable progress, providing a structured roadmap for the group’s diverse agricultural projects.
