Quimbaya Gold expands drilling at Tahami South project in Colombia

Quimbaya Gold has deployed an additional diamond drill rig to its Tahami South project in Antioquia, Colombia, marking the official start of Phase 2 exploration. The company is now running concurrent drilling programs at both the Tahami South vein systems and the Tahami Center copper-molybdenum porphyry target.

Following initial geophysical surveys that successfully traced the S and V vein systems beneath surface cover, the Phase 2 program aims to define the geometry and continuity of mineralization identified during earlier testing. The new drill campaign includes six diamond drill holes across two platforms, specifically targeting areas around high-grade silver and gold intercepts recorded in the first phase.

Phase 1 drilling at Tahami South comprised approximately 5,300 meters across 12 holes. Results included significant intercepts such as 2.57 g/t gold and 378.1 g/t silver over 0.9 meters in hole TSDH_003. According to VP of Exploration Ricardo Sierra, the current program focuses on structural corridors where resistivity anomalies suggest hydrothermal fluid flow and potential mineral deposition. The company expects to complete this drilling phase in the fourth quarter of 2026, with assay results anticipated early next year.
