The platform functions as a digital co-pilot rather than an automated adjudicator. It embeds guidance into the existing workflow, flagging incomplete files and highlighting immediate priorities. This approach addresses the complexity of modern claims management, where professionals must balance high volumes of documentation with regulatory requirements and policyholder needs.
"We built Kiva to provide another set of eyes within the workflow to help someone recognize a missing requirement," said Krista Eger, Vice President of Product at Benekiva. The company emphasizes that the technology is intended to remove repetitive, manual tasks from the examiner’s plate. Founder and CEO Brent Williams noted that the goal is not to replace human intervention, but to allow staff to focus their attention on the critical decisions that require empathy and expertise. Benekiva, which claims to help carriers reduce cycle times by up to 84%, positions this addition as a way to scale care without sacrificing the human element of insurance.
