The new tracking layer functions as a single source of truth, counting every order exactly once to prevent the common issue of multiple platforms claiming credit for the same transaction. By integrating this pixel with Marketing Mix Modeling and specific tests like Conversion Lift and GeoLift, Sellforte adjusts the credit assigned to each marketing channel. If experiments reveal that a sale would have occurred regardless of a specific ad exposure, the system automatically lowers that channel’s credit, providing performance teams with a more honest look at their Return on Ad Spend.
This shift allows retailers to stop optimizing for proximity to purchase and start focusing on campaigns that drive actual incremental growth. According to Juha Nuutinen, CEO of Sellforte, the goal is to provide daily numbers that marketing teams can trust rather than relying on the self-reported data from ad platforms. The system is designed to be flexible; brands can adopt the new pixel directly or pipe existing data from Google Analytics 4, Snowplow, or other attribution providers into the Sellforte OS for ongoing calibration.
