AJ Thomas Joins Cofounder.AI as COO to Expand Entrepreneur Support

After a career spent coaching founders and managing talent at Google X, AJ Thomas is joining the AI-native startup Cofounder.AI as Chief Operating Officer. Her appointment coincides with a strategic alliance between the startup and her own firm, Good Trouble Ventures, designed to provide early-stage entrepreneurs with automated operational leverage.

AJ Thomas Joins Cofounder.AI as COO to Expand Entrepreneur Support

Thomas joins CEO Clarence Wooten, with whom she previously worked at Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory, to oversee the company’s finance, legal, HR, and partnership divisions. Her transition marks a shift from advising founders to building the underlying technology meant to replicate the support systems once reserved for those with elite venture networks. She intends to prioritize university and ecosystem outreach to place the platform in the hands of early-stage entrepreneurs.

Under the new partnership, every founder within the Good Trouble Ventures portfolio will receive a complimentary one-year license for Cofounder.AI. This integration aims to provide immediate assistance with fundraising, due diligence, and daily business management. By combining capital with AI-driven operational tools, the firms seek to address a persistent gap in the startup ecosystem where high-level support remains unevenly distributed. Thomas brings over 15 years of experience in venture capital and organizational development to the role, balancing her new duties with her ongoing work at The Troublemaker Lab.
