The project follows the recent delivery of the LNGT Türkiye and the ongoing conversion of the eighth unit, LNGT Karadeniz. Under the agreement, Seatrium will handle the engineering, conversion, and commissioning of the vessel, which features a regasification capacity of up to 600 MMscfd. This unit marks the second project to emerge from a broader Letter of Intent that includes potential integration for up to six new-generation Powerships.
Karpowership currently operates a fleet of 45 Powerships and is expanding its LNG-focused assets to 12 vessels. For Seatrium, this contract reinforces a track record that spans 22 FSRU and FSU conversion projects since 2007. The collaboration aims to provide flexible, fast-track energy solutions for markets requiring rapid infrastructure deployment.
