The agreement marks a departure from traditional program-by-program procurement, favoring a unified approach to software architecture. By adopting Parry Labs' modular, open-architecture tools, General Dynamics Land Systems intends to streamline development cycles while maintaining strict adherence to Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles.
Don Claussen, CEO of Parry Labs, noted that the long-term commitment reflects deepened confidence in their ability to deliver cyber-resilient software for complex defense environments. For his part, Jeff Massimilla, Vice President of Engineering at General Dynamics Land Systems, emphasized that the standardized platforms provide the agility required to field modernized, mission-ready systems at a faster pace. This collaboration is expected to serve as a blueprint for broader industry efforts to prioritize interoperability and reusable digital capabilities in future combat vehicle programs.
