The brand’s SUV lineup remains the primary engine for its U.S. operations, with combined sales in that segment rising nearly 10% compared to the same period last year. The flagship Outlander led volume with 9,311 units sold—a 27.1% increase—while the Outlander Sport saw a significant surge, moving 5,902 units for a 91.6% year-over-year gain. These gains managed to offset more than 60% of the volume previously generated by the outgoing Mirage models.
Looking toward the future, Mitsubishi is pivoting its strategy under the Momentum 2030 business plan. The company is prioritizing product renewal and electrification, highlighted by the upcoming launch of the Eclipse Sportback EV, recently named the 2027 Green SUV of the Year by Green Car Journal. Beyond new inventory, the brand is restructuring its footprint, including the debut of a Nashville-based retail gallery and a new logistics partnership with AMPORTS and Port Freeport to streamline distribution across the Gulf and Midwest regions.
