Since acquiring the wholesale operations of Homepoint in 2023, the Tucson-based firm has aggressively scaled its national footprint. CEO Phil Shoemaker noted that while the previous name facilitated early growth, it failed to capture the company's current scope. The new identity accompanies a strategic push into complex lending sectors, most notably non-QM products, which saw a 68% volume increase through August 2026 compared to the previous year.
The transition aims for minimal disruption to existing operations. Existing pipelines, pricing models, and loan approvals remain unchanged, with the company migrating to the averrafi.com domain to consolidate its new market presence.
