LA County Jobs First Collaborative Unveils Roadmap for Economic Growth

With a Gross County Product hitting $1 trillion, Los Angeles County is formalizing its economic future through the newly released Legacy Blueprint. The strategy, backed by a coalition of 800 regional partners, aims to institutionalize cross-sector collaboration and ensure long-term prosperity beyond current government grant cycles.

LA County Jobs First Collaborative Unveils Roadmap for Economic Growth

The initiative, convened by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation and fiscally managed by the California Community Foundation, draws on eight months of research. It outlines actionable paths for policy advocacy, industry strategy, and regional investment. By moving beyond traditional funding models, the Collaborative seeks to preserve the infrastructure developed during Governor Newsom’s California Jobs First program.

To oversee this transition, the Investment & Sustainability Advisory Committee has expanded to 21 members. Co-chaired by Kellie Todd Griffin of the CA Black Women’s Collective Empowerment Institute and Libby Williams of the Los Angeles LDC, the group now includes representatives from all nine of the county's Service Planning Areas. This governance structure is designed to anchor economic mobility in local community needs while maintaining accountability across the region's diverse industrial landscape.
