The migration involved moving customer accounts, billing operations, and complex market transactions to the integrated retail energy platform. Anthony Garofalo, Director of Agway Energy Services, noted that the primary objective was to ensure operational continuity throughout the transition. By moving away from legacy systems, the Syracuse-based supplier intends to streamline business processes and gain better visibility into data-driven operations. The company, a subsidiary of Suburban Propane, currently provides electric and natural gas supply alongside its specialized EnergyGuard repair programs.
VertexOne, which specializes in SaaS solutions for the utility sector, managed the implementation on a schedule intended to minimize disruption. Ananda Goswami, Senior Vice President of Sales Strategy at VertexOne, described the project as evidence of the firm's capability to modernize established energy suppliers. For Agway, this upgrade provides a scalable foundation designed to handle evolving market requirements and customer service demands in the coming years.
