The multicenter study, which tracked patients across China since the therapy's launch in June 2023, revealed an objective response rate of 95.9% among the 267 evaluable participants. Nearly 77% of these individuals achieved a complete or stringent complete response, with 94.1% reaching minimal residual disease negativity. At a median follow-up of 10.97 months, the median progression-free and overall survival benchmarks have yet to be reached, signaling significant durability in a population where the median patient had already undergone four prior lines of therapy.
Professor Jin Lu of Peking University People's Hospital noted that the real-world cohort presented with more aggressive prognostic indicators—such as extramedullary disease and plasma cell leukemia—than those seen in earlier registration trials. Despite these challenges, the therapy maintained consistent efficacy across subgroups, including elderly patients and those previously treated with anti-CD38 therapies. Safety outcomes remained within manageable parameters, with grade 3 or higher cytokine release syndrome reported in only 3.8% of cases, and no instances of parkinsonism observed during the study period.
