The capital injection supports a variety of local institutions, including $35,000 split between the Whittier Host Lions Club and Soroptimist International of Whittier. Further allocations include $34,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Pasadena and $25,000 directed to the Interfaith Food Center and the Welcome Home Project. Beyond these specific grants, the credit union dispersed funds to support regional school programs and wellness initiatives.

Dave Gunderson, president and CEO of the organization, framed the contributions as an extension of their core mission. By financing organizations that provide direct aid, the credit union intends to broaden its influence beyond standard financial services. Founded in 1954, the cooperative currently manages over $4 billion in assets and maintains a five-star rating from BauerFinancial while serving a membership base of more than 187,000 people.
