Institute for Portfolio Alternatives Names 2027 Leadership Board

Brendan Cuddihy of CAIS will assume the role of Board Chair in 2027, taking the helm from Jason Goode of Alston & Bird, who shifts to the position of Immediate Past Chair. Ali Connaughton of Morrison Foerster was elected as Chair-Elect, rounding out the new executive leadership team. These appointments come as the IPA seeks to consolidate its influence across asset management and distribution channels.

President and CEO Anya Coverman emphasized that the incoming board members represent a diverse range of expertise essential for the organization’s advocacy and educational mandates. The new cohort includes executives from firms such as EQT, J.P. Morgan, Apollo, and Morgan Stanley. They join a broad roster of continuing directors from major financial institutions, including BlackRock, Blackstone, and Goldman Sachs, to oversee the institute’s initiatives in private equity, credit, and real estate sectors.
