Turkish Airlines Seals Deal for 150 Boeing 737 MAX Jets

The deal includes 100 firm orders for the 737-8 model, with options for an additional 50 jets. By securing substitution rights for the 737-10, the airline gains the flexibility to scale capacity on high-demand routes. Prof Murat Şeker, chairman of the board and the executive committee at Turkish Airlines, emphasized that the new fleet will provide the operational efficiency required to sustain the carrier's global growth trajectory.

This purchase follows a significant 2025 order for 75 787 Dreamliners, signaling a broader renewal of the airline's fleet. Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, stated that the partnership reflects a shared long-term vision for the Turkish aviation sector. Beyond the hardware, the agreement includes industrial participation commitments, ensuring Boeing continues to support Türkiye’s domestic aviation ecosystem as the airline integrates these fuel-efficient jets into its existing operations.
