North Macedonia’s Largest Wind Farm Reaches Financial Milestone

Envision Energy will supply 21 of its EN182-6.25 MW wind turbines for the site. These units, featuring a 120-metre hub height, rank among the largest onshore turbines currently deployed in Europe. The project’s commercial viability is anchored by a long-term offtake agreement with an investment-grade international corporation, providing a blueprint for private-sector-led renewable energy development in Southeastern Europe.

Securing financial close validates the bankability of Envision’s technology with major institutional lenders, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, and Erste Group Bank AG. Kane Xu, Senior Vice President at Envision Energy, noted that the project integrates commercial scale with system-wide value, helping to stabilize energy resilience in the region. According to Daniel Lancha, Partner at Alcazar Energy Partners, the development is expected to generate lasting economic impact through job creation and the delivery of affordable, clean electricity to local communities.
