Red Banyan’s Nova Festival Campaign Named Ragan Zenith Awards Finalist

The strategic communications campaign for the Nova Music Festival Exhibition has secured a finalist spot in Ragan’s 2026 Zenith Awards. By centering survivor testimony and forensic evidence, the initiative brought the harrowing reality of the October 7 massacre to national media and political circles in Washington and Chicago.

The exhibition serves as a memorial to the victims of the 2023 attack, reconstructing the festival’s final hours through salvaged artifacts like scorched vehicles and bullet-damaged structures. Red Banyan managed the messaging strategy, preparing survivors and families for interviews while coordinating high-profile visits with members of Congress and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. A notable highlight included a joint testimony session between Holocaust survivor Nat Shaffir and Nova survivor Noa Beer at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Evan Nierman, CEO of Red Banyan, credited the recognition to the firm's focus on maintaining the dignity of the victims' stories within the national discourse. The agency’s work in navigating sensitive public affairs—moving beyond geopolitical debate to focus on human accounts—was central to the campaign's impact. The winners of the 2026 Zenith Awards will be announced on November 5 in New York City.
