Assouline Unveils Definitive Visual Biography of Rafael Nadal

Published by Assouline, the volume serves as the first comprehensive visual chronicle of the tennis icon’s career. Written by longtime tennis journalist and 60 Minutes correspondent Jon Wertheim, the book draws from private archives to display rare photographs, many surfacing for the first time. The narrative bridges the gap between the professional stage and the athlete's personal life, featuring reflections from Roger Federer, King Felipe VI of Spain, and members of the Nadal family, including his wife Mery Perello and coach Toni Nadal.

The publication arrives in two distinct formats. The Classic edition features a cover portrait by Clive Mason from Nadal's 2005 French Open debut, while the Ultimate edition comes encased in a clamshell designed to mirror the red clay of Court Philippe-Chatrier. This premium version opens with Corinne Dubreuil’s 2012 image of Nadal’s blistered hands cradling his seventh trophy, with a limited number of copies signed by the athlete himself.
