Starting September 18, 2026, the fast-casual brand is rolling out these mozzarella nuggets across all locations in California, Washington, Texas, Maryland, and Virginia. Each order is prepared fresh, featuring a crisp exterior that protects a molten, melty center. Customers can order them as a standalone side paired with house Crimson Sauce or cool ranch, or customize their meals by adding the nuggets directly into sandwiches, sliders, and wraps.

Ali Hijazi, founder and CEO of Crimson Coward, noted that the move addresses customer demand for a premium side that complements the restaurant's varying heat profiles. Beyond their flavor, the nuggets serve a functional purpose: the milk fats in the mozzarella bind to the capsaicin found in the brand's signature spice blends, providing a cooling effect for those ordering the "BURRRRN, BABY, BURN" level. The launch marks a significant permanent expansion for the Downey-based chain as it continues its multi-state franchise growth.
