Measuring 5,120 mm in length with a 3,100 mm wheelbase, the SUV utilizes the VLA 2.0 model for cross-region driving intelligence and features the same Turing AI chip found in the company's IRON humanoid robot. To ensure reliability across diverse climates, the vehicle underwent over 6.74 million kilometers of road testing across 26 countries and cleared 192 individual safety crash tests across four major global protocols.
Production of the G9L is slated for facilities in Guangzhou and Graz, Austria. The Graz site, operated by Magna, highlights XPENG's strategy to localize manufacturing for the European market. According to Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng, the company is leveraging its dual expertise in automotive engineering and robotics to push a 'car as robot' philosophy, with the G9L serving as the primary commercial beneficiary of this integrated AI foundation. Following the October event in France, the company will begin its ambitious expansion into the 64 identified global regions.
