The new model addresses a fundamental gap in machine vision: standard AI models rely on visible light, failing to parse the thermal radiation that defines industrial safety. Raytron has bridged this by training its system on five million proprietary infrared samples, focusing on specific industrial hazards like methane and sulfur dioxide dispersion. The architecture utilizes a dedicated visual encoder designed to isolate thermal signal features from complex background noise, moving the intelligence directly onto the edge hardware.
Alongside the software, Raytron introduced the Falcon 500, its third-generation AI processing chip. This hardware enables real-time multimodal fusion and temperature analysis without the latency of cloud-based processing. The release is bolstered by an expanded hardware portfolio, including 8 μm detectors reaching 1280×1024 resolution and 12 μm sensors achieving a noise equivalent temperature difference of 15 mK, marking a significant step in the precision of remote industrial monitoring.
