Dallas-based Vega Upstream JV has finalized its acquisition of Toklan Oil and Gas Corporation and its affiliated entities for $15 million. The transaction grants Vega JV ownership of 7,000 net acres and the West Thomas Field Services, which operates the Deer Greek Gathering System. By purchasing 100% of the capital stock of Rampart Holdings, the parent company of Toklan, Vega gains access to a broader infrastructure network. Current production across the acquired assets sits at approximately 500 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Managed by industry veterans Randall Connally, Christopher Czuppon, and Claudio Coltellini, the company is now assessing 58 potential drilling locations. According to COO Christopher Czuppon, the firm intends to initiate a development program targeting the Cherokee Shale, Red Fork, Cottage Grove, Meramec, and Woodford formations. This acquisition serves as a platform for further growth in the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma, where the firm continues to scout for additional investment opportunities.
