CEO Theo Satloff signaled that the hire is a calculated move to accelerate the company’s trajectory as it integrates agentic AI into the shopping experience. Weissman brings a deep background in digital customer experience, having previously founded the clienteling platform Humankind and held leadership roles at Target and GSI Commerce. His career has focused on bridging the gap between emerging technology and consumer behavior, including his work at Beauty By Design, which utilized live consultations to drive personalized retail outcomes.
At Remark, Weissman will oversee the integration of the company’s suite of tools, including its AI Sales and Service Chat functions and recently launched virtual try-on technology. He arrives at a time when the platform is actively seeking to evolve beyond traditional self-service retail models toward more intuitive, human-centered interactions. According to Weissman, the objective is to move away from the static catalog format that has defined online shopping for three decades, replacing it with a more responsive, personalized commerce environment.
