Datasea Pivots to Robotics to Capture China's Silver Economy

The collaboration aims to transform traditional, limited-function robots into sophisticated digital service terminals. While Linghang Intelligent provides the mechanical framework, sensor arrays, and deployment infrastructure, Datasea will contribute the AI "brain." This includes multimodal data processing, task execution, and behavioral analytics designed to move beyond simple companionship into active service coordination for nursing homes and home-care environments.

This move targets a massive demographic shift. China’s silver economy, valued at approximately RMB 7 trillion, is projected to surge to RMB 30 trillion by 2035. Datasea CEO Zhixin Liu noted that the goal is not merely to manufacture hardware but to build a scalable platform that connects elderly users to healthcare resources and continuous AI-driven assistance. By shifting toward a model that combines robotic mobility with software subscriptions and data management, the company intends to secure a long-term foothold in the country's expanding senior care infrastructure.
