Scrum Alliance and Johns Hopkins Launch Healthcare Leadership Courses

The initiative addresses the mounting pressure on medical institutions to innovate amid rising operational complexity. The first two courses, "AI in Healthcare: Designing Responsible, Human-Centered Systems" and "Data-Driven Healthcare: Turning Data into Better Patient Outcomes," target clinical directors, innovation leads, and compliance managers. These programs focus on moving beyond traditional reporting toward iterative, agile decision-making processes.

Rebecca Federspiel, head of product at Scrum Alliance, noted that the curriculum bridges the gap between technical disruption and tangible patient results. Paul Huckett, associate dean at Johns Hopkins Engineering, emphasized that the collaboration aims to cultivate leaders capable of aligning cross-functional teams while maintaining a human-centered approach to technology. Participants who complete the training receive microcredentials from both institutions, along with a two-year Scrum Alliance membership. Two additional courses are scheduled for release in the coming weeks.
