Tokyo to Host 8th International Conference on Carbon Recycling

Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization will convene the 8th International Conference on Carbon Recycling on October 9, 2026. The hybrid event at The Westin Tokyo gathers global leaders to address CO2 utilization as a pillar of carbon neutrality.

Tokyo to Host 8th International Conference on Carbon Recycling

Since its inception in 2019, the annual summit has served as a primary venue for synchronizing international research and business strategies regarding carbon recycling. As the urgency of climate change mandates a shift toward green transformation, the conference focuses on treating CO2 as a reusable resource rather than a waste product. Attendees will examine the latest R&D results and explore pathways for integrating carbon recycling into global value chains.

The afternoon program includes sessions on Japan’s specific initiatives, advanced technological development, and strategies for market expansion. Beyond formal presentations, the event features a poster session, a dedicated startup showcase, and collaborative forums for students. Participation is free, though advance registration is required for both in-person and online access. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided throughout the sessions to facilitate cross-border cooperation.
