ATLAS Biograferne Launches Denmark's First 270-Degree ScreenX Theater

The new auditorium features a 126-foot-wide panoramic display paired with 76 seats, designed to immerse viewers by projecting imagery across the side walls of the room. This expansion of the visual field marks a significant shift for the independent multiplex, which has operated under the ownership of Emil and Marie Mark Nørholm since 2013. The Nørholms view the partnership with CJ 4DPLEX as a core evolution of their mission to provide premium, shared entertainment experiences for the Greater Copenhagen area.

Don Savant, Chief Business Officer at CJ 4DPLEX, noted that the debut represents a strategic expansion into the Nordic region. This move builds on the company's existing footprint in Denmark, where they have previously implemented 4DX technology at locations in Aarhus, Lyngby, and Copenhagen’s Field’s shopping center. By integrating ScreenX, ATLAS Biograferne continues a period of aggressive growth, having previously recorded the highest growth rate among Danish cinemas in 2025.
