Jeff Pacini Tapped to Lead Green Sports Alliance

Pacini brings over twenty years of experience to the coalition, which represents a broad network of sports teams, venue operators, and sustainability advocates. His background includes early career roles with the NBA and the Cleveland Cavaliers, followed by leadership positions at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and the American Heart Association. Most recently, he founded ion Philanthropy, a firm providing strategic advisory services to non-profits and sports entities.

Board Chair Aileen McManamon noted that Pacini’s combination of industry foresight and operational experience makes him a fit for the Alliance’s objective of integrating innovative solutions into the sports sector. An alumnus of Ohio University with an MBA and a Master of Sports Administration, Pacini was previously recognized as part of Crain’s Cleveland Business Forty Under 40 list. He now takes command of an organization tasked with aligning professional leagues, college programs, and governing bodies toward long-term environmental goals.
