By handling over 90% of varying parcel types, the system alleviates physical labor for on-site staff, allowing employees to pivot toward supervision and organizational roles. The Lyon hub acts as a critical link between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, providing the capacity needed to serve the corridor previously managed from the Paris region.

Michel Naudin, Deputy Managing Director of GOFO France, noted that the site is becoming a cornerstone of the company's national presence. The installation aligns with a broader strategy to refine the delivery experience for the French market, focusing on parcel weights between 0 and 5 kilograms. Staff recruitment and training are currently underway to ensure full operational readiness by late 2026. Beyond the hardware, the company is expanding its local Delivery Service Partner network to accommodate regional fluctuations in activity, reinforcing its commitment to localized, high-speed logistics.
