Record Participation Marks Third Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon

The event, branded as 'India’s Most Beautiful Marathon,' highlights Udaipur’s growing profile as a hub for sports tourism. Hindustan Zinc CEO Amarendu Prakash noted that the rapid expansion of the race over just three editions reflects a broader ambition to cement the city’s status on the global running calendar. Beyond the professional competition, the event served as a platform for the #RunForZeroHunger initiative, uniting diverse groups ranging from rural Rajasthan community members to international elite athletes.

Competitive results underscored the intensity of the morning, with Mukesh Kumar securing the men’s half-marathon title in 1:08:47 and Pooja leading the women’s field at 1:26:09. The 10 km categories saw Tehender and Kumari Parru claim victories with times of 32:01 and 36:49, respectively. Every finisher was awarded a medal cast from 99.99% pure zinc, a symbolic nod to the region's ancient industrial heritage. The success of this year’s gathering marks a significant milestone for Hindustan Zinc, which continues to leverage its corporate influence to promote both local heritage and regional health initiatives.
