Standard industry supplements rely on a capsule to deliver glucoraphanin and myrosinase, expecting the conversion to sulforaphane to occur internally. However, internal testing using Distek dissolution equipment revealed that stomach acid effectively neutralizes myrosinase before the reaction can complete. The company spent two years developing a formula that forces this reaction to occur in a controlled aqueous environment prior to ingestion.
The resulting powder uses potassium bicarbonate to buffer the water to an optimal pH, allowing 240mg of white mustard seed powder to hydrolyze 360mg of black kale extract. A 12mg dose of vitamin C acts as a cofactor, while acacia fiber stabilizes the mixture during the required five-minute wait. Once converted, the sulforaphane becomes stable enough to survive gastric transit, unlike the precursor enzymes themselves.
CEO Paul Eftang noted that the decision to move the chemistry outside the body followed repeated failures in simulated gastric fluid trials. By verifying the output through UPLC testing rather than relying on theoretical precursor math, the company aims to ensure consistency in every dose. The product is now available in 30-serving and 60-serving containers, manufactured at the firm's FDA-registered facility in Tempe.
