The initiative marks the first time Israel’s major academic and healthcare players—including the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Technion, and Sheba Medical Center—have combined forces under a single umbrella. Catalyzed by 8400 The Health Network, the center will operate through its subsidiary, INBI Core, to provide the funding, infrastructure, and commercial expertise necessary to de-risk early-stage projects.

Anat Cohen-Dayag, PhD, former President and CEO of Compugen, has been appointed CEO of INBI Core to lead these efforts. She is joined by Chairperson Samuel Moed, a former senior executive at Bristol Myers Squibb. Together, they intend to transform Israel’s high-potential laboratory research into scalable biotech spinouts, mirroring successful cross-institutional models seen in major global innovation hubs.
