Li Shulei, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Guangdong provincial party secretary Huang Kunming headlined the opening ceremony. The forum produced a series of tangible outcomes, most notably the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Media Partnership Organizing Committee and the formal adoption of the Shenzhen Consensus. This agreement prioritizes the protection of the multilateral trading system and emphasizes the green, digital transformation of media outlets across the region.

The initiative centers on a new cooperation framework built around technology sharing, joint content production, and professional development. A key component is the formation of the Asia-Pacific Digital & Smart Media Intelligence Shenzhen Center, which will leverage the OpenHarmony ecosystem to provide technological infrastructure for regional partners. Furthermore, the launch of the Training Base for Asia-Pacific Youth Media Professionals targets the next generation of journalists, inviting those under 45 to Shenzhen for dedicated study programs. Through the "Witness Miracles, Seek Solutions" program, participating organizations plan to produce collaborative content that documents regional development, providing a unified narrative structure for the upcoming APEC summit.
