Metallica’s Foundation Auctions First ‘Hetskid’ Loader for Charity

The online auction, hosted by Purple Wave, runs through December 17. Every dollar from the final sale price, along with the 10% buyer’s premium, will go directly to the Metallica Scholars Initiative. This program funds career and technical education, a core focus of the All Within My Hands foundation since its inception in 2017.

Built at the CASE production facility in Wichita, the track loader is a functional piece of heavy machinery rather than a mere collectible. It is identical to the unit Hetfield commissioned for use at his own ranch following a 2024 supply agreement. Renee Richardson, Director of Philanthropy at All Within My Hands, noted that the partnership with CNH has evolved from food bank volunteering during the M72 World Tour to this unique equipment collaboration.
