The new system, dubbed SDK.finance General Ledger, functions as an event-driven accounting layer. It captures business events from core banking systems, digital wallets, or payment engines and converts them into balanced, double-entry journal entries. By utilizing Kafka or REST APIs, the module integrates into current architectures, allowing firms to retain their existing transaction-processing logic while gaining a unified source of financial truth.
CEO Alex Malyshev noted that the tool is built to ensure technical and finance teams operate from the same data set immediately after a transaction occurs. The system supports both fiat and digital assets with precision reaching 18 decimal places. Once entries are posted, they remain immutable; any necessary corrections are managed exclusively through reversing entries, which preserves a transparent audit trail. This approach enables banks, EMIs, and neobanks to scale their financial products without the operational drag of manual reconciliation.
