Reolink Unveils OMVI 2i Ultra and Localized AI at IFA 2026

The OMVI 2i Ultra combines an 8MP wide-angle lens with a 5MP pan-tilt camera, utilizing Reolink’s SyncTrack technology to maintain focus on moving subjects across a 355-degree horizontal range. Designed for longevity, the unit includes a 10,000mAh battery and a 6W solar panel, which the company claims provides six months of operation on a single charge. It is scheduled for release in late October with a suggested retail price between $200 and $250.

Central to the new ecosystem is the Reolink Home Hub 2, priced at $199.99. This hardware serves as a central storage point for up to eight cameras and introduces Local AI Video Search, enabling users to query recorded footage using natural-language descriptions. Further expanding its AI capabilities, Reolink is introducing Custom AI Detection, allowing homeowners to train the system to recognize specific environmental triggers, such as an open side gate. While the hub arrives this fall, full support for these custom detection features requires a firmware update expected in December 2026.

Reolink also expanded its hardware lineup with the TrackFlex WiFi, a 4K dual-lens camera targeting the $199.99 price point for a Q4 release. The company is emphasizing broader smart home compatibility, integrating its devices with platforms including Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, and Homey. These updates reflect a shift toward granular, local control, positioning Reolink’s hardware as a central component in responsive smart home setups rather than a standalone monitoring system.
