ZPMC Launches First Service Operation Vessel for LD Armateurs

The vessel is designed to function as a high-tech floating hotel for maintenance crews, capable of remaining at sea for over 30 days without resupply. Its architecture centers on a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system integrated with lithium batteries, paired with a Dynamic Positioning Class 2 system to maintain stability in harsh northern waters. To facilitate personnel transfers, the ship utilizes a 3D motion-compensated crane and a wave-compensated gangway.

This project is the first collaboration between ZPMC and the French shipping firm. A second identical vessel has already reached the keel-laying stage. Once fully commissioned, the pair will head to Germany to support long-term operations at the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms. The vessels aim to balance the logistical requirements of technical equipment servicing with the need for crew comfort during extended shifts in the North Sea.
