The AeroBlade marks a shift in how manufacturers address thermal constraints in ultra-compact devices. By integrating the Lenovo Active Flow thermal solution, the notebook achieves sustained performance without the noise or mechanical failure risks associated with traditional cooling fans. The AirJet Mini chips generate high-velocity pulsating air jets, allowing for heat dissipation of 7.5 watts within a footprint only 2.65 millimeters thick.
Seshu Madhavapeddy, CEO and founder of Frore Systems, stated that this collaboration addresses the increasing thermal demands of Edge AI and reasoning models. As compute-intensive workloads force processors to run longer, the ability to prevent thermal throttling becomes critical. The AirJet Mini system provides 2,000 Pa of back pressure—roughly ten times that of a standard fan—which also enables dustproof and water-resistant designs. This innovation aligns with the company's roadmap to double thermal performance every two years, providing a foundation for the next generation of silent, high-performance edge computing hardware.
