Diameter Pay Secures $10 Million to Bridge Global Dollar Access

Diameter Pay has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round to scale its infrastructure for cross-border U.S. dollar payments. The Jersey City-based fintech, which has already processed over $10 billion in transactions this year, aims to resolve the deepening fragmentation in global financial access.

The round was co-led by CMT Digital and Lightspeed Faction, with additional backing from SixThirty Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, Tech Council Ventures, Onigiri Capital, and BitRock Capital. By offering a single API, Diameter Pay enables banks and digital asset exchanges to navigate the complex intersection of traditional banking and stablecoin networks.

As correspondent banks retreat from various markets due to heightened compliance risks, businesses often find themselves cut off from the global financial system. CEO David Lighton argues that the solution lies in better data and compliance tools rather than simply increasing risk appetite. The company intends to use the new capital to broaden its payment capabilities and deepen the infrastructure that allows stablecoins to interface securely with regulated U.S. banking partners.
