HR HealthCare Debuts Liv Catheter Designed for Active Women

For many women, intermittent self-catheterization is a routine requirement that often clashes with the demands of work, travel, and social commitments. HR HealthCare is addressing this friction with the launch of Liv, a pre-lubricated intermittent catheter designed to integrate discreetly into a busy, everyday lifestyle.

The device features a self-contained protective housing, which minimizes physical contact between the user’s hands and the catheter during use. Its soft silicone, pre-lubricated introducer tip is engineered to bypass the distal urethra, a design choice based on clinical research aimed at reducing the risk of urinary tract infections. To ensure ease of use, the product utilizes the proprietary EZ-Advancer locking mechanism, providing a controlled insertion process.

HR HealthCare developed the device after gathering feedback from both clinicians and women who rely on daily catheterization. According to Sara Zebouni, Regional Sales Director at the York, Pennsylvania-based company, the objective was to move beyond strictly clinical utility toward a product that feels as natural as other personal care items. The Liv catheter is now available through national distribution channels in French sizes 8 through 14, packaged in boxes of 30.
