Dyson Debuts Airsmooth Dryer Brush to Streamline Hair Routines

The Airsmooth marks a shift toward simplified, everyday styling for the company, moving away from complex multi-styler setups. Its engineering centers on two core innovations: a dual-bristle system that uses looped, anti-snag bristles to reduce tension and PivotFlex bristles that adjust up to 90 degrees to wrap hair without tangling. These mechanics function alongside intelligent heat control, which monitors temperature 100 times per second to prevent thermal damage.

This release follows a decade of research into hair science that began with the 2016 launch of the Supersonic dryer. To complement the new hardware, Dyson is introducing the Omega leave-in conditioning spray, an 8-in-1 treatment formulated with oils sourced from the company's Lincolnshire farms. The Airsmooth will be available at major retailers including Sephora, Ulta, and Best Buy, positioning itself as a streamlined alternative to Dyson's more complex, high-pressure styling systems like the Airwrap.
