BUUU Group Acquires Brightray Science to Scale AI Data Center Production

BUUU Group Limited has finalized a definitive agreement to acquire a 60% stake in modular data center provider Brightray Science Inc., signaling a strategic pivot toward industrialized AI infrastructure. The transaction, coupled with a $60 million capital raise, includes plans to relocate the company's headquarters to Singapore.

BUUU Group Acquires Brightray Science to Scale AI Data Center Production

The acquisition positions BUUU to address the primary bottleneck in the AI economy: the slow deployment of physical data centers. Brightray’s prefabricated modular systems allow for facility completion in six to nine months, significantly faster than the industry-standard 18 to 36-month timeline. By industrializing the build process—factory-integrating over 90% of a facility—the firm aims to capture the surging demand for AI infrastructure, which is projected to reach approximately 219GW by 2030.

Brightray’s current footprint includes a 70MW operational capacity at the Sedenak Tech Park in Johor, Malaysia, with a broader project pipeline of roughly 2GW across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. Under the terms of the deal, Brightray founder Bin Wang will join BUUU as Executive Director and Co-Chief Executive Officer. The purchase consideration utilizes a mix of newly issued Class A Ordinary Shares and convertible promissory notes. To support this transition and scale production capacity, BUUU has simultaneously secured over $60 million in private placements. The company intends to leverage its new Singapore base to better access regional capital and project opportunities while pursuing reference-architecture qualifications for its data center designs with leading silicon vendors.
