Plan A Technologies Acquires AI Tool to Sharpen M&A Due Diligence

As private equity firms and strategic investors face increasingly opaque software ecosystems, Plan A Technologies has acquired a stealth AI assessment tool to bolster its due diligence practice. The acquisition aims to uncover hidden technical risks and architectural patterns that traditional manual audits and commercial scanners often overlook.

Plan A Technologies Acquires AI Tool to Sharpen M&A Due Diligence

The Las Vegas-based engineering firm plans to integrate the proprietary technology to accelerate the evaluation of complex, fragmented platforms. According to Co-Founder Slav Kulik, the tool is designed to move beyond lengthy lists of technical debt, instead identifying anomalies that fundamentally alter a transaction’s risk profile. While the firm will retain manual code reviews and expert interviews, the new layer of automation provides a consistent analytical bridge across large-scale systems.

Serhii Melnychuk, the architect who created the tool, has joined the company to spearhead its further development. The move highlights a shift in how technical due diligence is conducted, particularly as the proliferation of AI-generated code makes it harder for company leaders to fully grasp their own infrastructures. By combining this automated analysis with the firm’s existing bench of software practitioners, Plan A aims to offer clients not just an audit, but a concrete roadmap for modernization and integration post-acquisition.
