Teamsters Halt Operations at Amazon’s Largest Warehouse

The work stoppage marks the first time Teamsters on both primary shifts at the massive hub have coordinated a walkout, effectively freezing operations for 24 hours. Union representatives claim that since the facility joined Local 1932 in late 2025, Amazon has systematically ignored federal labor laws. The conflict intensified after the reported termination of a union leader, a move workers describe as retaliatory.

Randy Korgan, Director of the Teamsters Amazon Division, stated that the company has ignored legal obligations for too long. The protest follows a recent National Labor Relations Board development where Amazon conceded that it would cease retaliation against employees exercising their right to strike. Emmanuel Cadena, a worker at the DJT6 site, emphasized that the walkout is a response to the company’s refusal to address demands for safer working conditions and improved pay. The union currently represents over 1.3 million members across North America.
