Armin van Buuren and Laidback Luke Join Moises to Guide AI Development

Electronic music icons Armin van Buuren and Laidback Luke have joined the creative platform Moises as the inaugural members of its new Artist Partnerships program. The collaboration aims to steer the development of AI-driven production tools, ensuring that technology serves as an assistant to human creativity rather than a replacement.

Moises, which currently serves a community of 80 million musicians, is positioning its suite as a responsible alternative to generative models that scrape unauthorized content. By training its proprietary models on licensed data, the company focuses on features like stem separation and practice tools that keep artistic decision-making firmly in the hands of the creator. This initiative follows the recent appointment of Charlie Puth as Chief Music Officer, signaling a strategic shift toward integrating professional feedback into the platform's core architecture.

Armin van Buuren, a five-time world No. 1 DJ, and Laidback Luke, a veteran producer and educator, will provide technical input on workflows for DJs and producers. Both artists emphasize that the value of such technology lies in accelerating the learning process and enhancing creative expression rather than automating the songwriting process. Moises plans to scale this model by recruiting additional high-profile artists across multiple genres in the coming months, building on existing technical integrations with industry staples like Ableton and Fender.
