Founded by a trio of finance veterans—Brian Tabb, Angelo Innamorato, and Jared Leland—the proposed bank filed its national charter application with the OCC and FDIC in July 2026. While headquartered in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, the institution intends to operate with a single physical branch, relying on the Nymbus cloud-native infrastructure to manage core processing and digital accounts for a nationwide customer base. The founders argue that traditional banking conglomerates often overlook these specific market segments.
Following the regulatory review process, Sagehaven aims to secure final approval and raise the necessary capital to launch banking operations by April 2027. Jeffery Kendall, CEO of Nymbus, described the partnership as a way for the new institution to bypass the common trade-off between personalized service and modern digital efficiency. Sagehaven remains in the application phase and is not yet authorized to accept deposits or conduct banking business.
