The integration of these Lindenhurst operations allows Reworld to streamline waste logistics and resource recovery services for its Long Island municipal and commercial clients. Brendan Ferretti, the firm's EVP of Business Development and M&A, noted that the move is designed to provide a more holistic service chain, spanning from initial waste collection to final processing.
Steve Macchio, who led the acquired companies through four decades of local operations, will see his team transition into the broader Reworld network. The new facility is expected to act as a hub for the company's specialized service lines, including its ReDrop wastewater treatment and ReDirect360 zero-waste initiatives. This expansion reinforces Reworld’s strategy of leveraging localized processing sites to support its larger-scale environmental technologies.
