Rosina Foods Expands Frozen Meatball Lineup With Five New Varieties

Buffalo-based Rosina Food Products is targeting shifting consumer habits with five new frozen meatball varieties, ranging from bite-sized options for children to high-protein and gluten-free formulations. The expansion aims to bridge the gap between traditional family recipes and the modern demand for convenience, specific dietary accommodations, and global flavor profiles.

The new lineup leverages the company’s heritage, which dates back three generations of family-inspired Italian cooking. The product range includes Mini Meatballs designed for children, and the Bang-Bang Chicken Meatballs, which incorporate sweet chili heat to mirror current restaurant trends. For health-conscious shoppers, the company has introduced a High Protein option containing 18 grams per serving, alongside a Gluten-Free Restaurant Style variety and a Reduced Sodium version that retains 10 grams of protein while cutting salt content by half.

Brian Muscarella, corporate chef at Rosina, notes that the development process focused on solving specific mealtime challenges for busy households. By diversifying the portfolio, the brand intends to offer more versatility for grain bowls, stir-fries, and quick snacks. Consumers can identify local availability for these additions through the company’s online product locator tool.
